This thread sent me scurrying to WBAC to get a quote on the Merc. The valuation means I can settle the PCP and have a decent deposit towards something else - something I hadn't anticipated/forecast to happen for another 12 months.

Trouble is, what to get? I've been holding on for the Fisker Ocean in early 2023 and when I look at the current BEVs you have the Enyaq/ID4 - which are soulless. You have the Mach-E, which is somewhat flawed for comfort and styling, or you have the Polestar2, which is brilliant until you look at their leasing prices. Need to chat to the accountant I think.

Scratching my chin a bit at the moment, but this has certainly got me thinking!

Same. It's thrown me into confusion as well. I love my XC90 but I'm also tempted with getting a camper van. I've thought of a Merc Marco Polo as something as close in comfort and tech to the Volvo with the camper as well. I'd then get a Mini Cooper S as a fun town / short trip car.

It is a conundrum Confused

I had a JCW F54 for 18months.

Only car I've ever driven that I made myself feel ill in. Corners far better than my body can accommodate. Be warned

WBAC quoted me £39,400 for a one year old 530D msport estate this week. Up from the 34,500 they were offering 3 months ago. My lease it sitting at 37,000 to settle so very tempting to trade and walk away to something else.

Following on from Moos suggestion, I reckon a Marco Polo camper or a bespoke VW T6.1 from somewhere like CJL Leisure would be ideal for me.

The little toy car to run around in would have to be a Toyota Yaris GR circuit though Very Happy

I reckon I’m at least one, maybe two cars away from going all electric. I tend to lease cars for 2-3 years and that’s driving my decision to stick with petrol / diesel for the next one.

Skippy’s valuation has just gone up another £1k over what it was a few weeks ago. Not brave enough to stick SWMBO’s car number in there though. Whistle Whistle
