Any way to get the car to sit down remotely? |
|
MY2011 D4 3.0 SDV6
The passenger side step rotted so was removed.
Mrs is a bit of a short so now struggling to clamber into the car at normal height.
I know I can sit the car down when I am in it and it is running.
Is there any way to get it to sit down upon opening, or via the fob please?
Just looking for an easy life without having to replace the side steps….😇😇
Many thanks.
Cheers

I simply lower mine when parking, so it's ready for SWMBO to get in.

see the owners manual. Your fob will lower the vehicle. Unfortunately some very risk adverse individual defined the ridiculous process. I suspect that person “has issues” and probably not the sort I’d share a pint with. 2015 LR4 HSE Lux Aintree Green

With programming the key to do it, I think you have to have the hazards on, so not much point. Volunteer driver with 4x4 Response South East Wales

It can be lowered and or lifted, doors closed flashers on then press two buttons possibly lights and unlock to lift and lights and rear tail gate to lower if my memory is correct, just do a little practice, it’s used and I have used it for hitching unhitching caravan/trailors. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

I use the fob the odd time to lower, quite handy except that you must have the hazards on when doing it
