You wouldnt think that water could cause so much of a mess. The manufacturers should surely be able to overcome this.
Er, you're suggesting that car manufacturers come up with a solution to hard water? Not expecting much are you? I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Hi Woody
Just to let you know I work in the motor trade and you would be surprised how many dealers tell you that the privacy glass in your car is tinted glass and is in fact glass with a window tint film.
Just out of curiousity is there anyone that could possibly check to see if their dealer is telling porky pies
cheers

maybe he meant the water manufacturers
here we have high pressure water spray washes that use deionised water for rinsing. you can get deionisers for home use so that all your household water is deionised. saves your boilers baths showers and kettles from scaling and reduces soap use. increases salt costs and might result in a heart attack though There's one wheel on my wagon, but i'm still rollin' along, it's the cherokee, they're after me, but I'm singing a happy song

Of course im not expecting the water suppliers to overcome hard water but i do think the glass manufacturers should be able to overcome the problem within the glass manufacturing process. This is the 21st century after all and the cars are bristling with technology but unable to prevent basic water stains!

It's not difficult to spot... if you can see the heating elements and aerial lines on the outside of the glass looking crap, then it's a film stuck on the inside - it the glass looks smooth black (improving the look of the car) then it's the factory tinted glass and looks a lot cooler.
