I don’t post very often but read this forum regularly, I know the topic is well discussed but has any one any suggestions?
D3 purchased and first registered December 2005, the Sunroof or something leaked and the passenger floor was soaked also the electrics seemed to go wrong with lots of fault messages. This was repaired after the winter in March 2006, dry summer no problems until December 2006 / January 2007 when the leak was repaired again. However come Winter 2008/09 and you’ve guessed it the passenger floor soaked again and back twice for a ‘remove the interior and dry out’ repair.
Well this next sentence will come as no surprise, after the weather we have just had, the passenger floor is sodden again! The D3 is out of Manufactures warranty, I had the extended warranty last year and have just renewed it again but as I know it excludes ‘water ingress’ however this has been wrong from the beginning.
Has anyone had the same constant problem and any suggestions as to what I should say to the dealer when it goes in to them on the 10th December?
Any thoughts???

Oldbean - hi there,
I had this problem and I was stumped at first but I can probably guarantee it is the sunroof drains ( if on OS then it is this one).
The end of the drain is located in the air vent on the wing. Pull back the rubber behind the grill and look up and you will see a rubber end of pipe that is squashed in a cross shape. This is probably blocked - I would clean it out with a long thin implement.
I did this but it got blocked again - so i removed or loosened the head lining and got to the top of the pipe and gave a really good blow on it. A load of crud came out the end.
I reassembled - cleaned and dried the carpet and never had the problem since.

This may help you sort it, or eliminate the sunroof as source of the problem

I found that post and read with interest, only problem I have is the drain pipes are clear when gently blown down. Off side easier to find; near side well hidden. I will have another look tomorrow, Thanks for help.
