Water ingress - needs new rear window |
|
I've never had a more troublesome car - but I still love it
Into the dealers for 3rd service and first MOT.
I asked them to change the locking wheel nuts to normal ones; and after 3 years I decided to do an aircon recharge - it was blowing cold but not the icy cold like I knew it. And I wanted a new rear wiper, but not at £24.95.
Anyway, recently started getting a puddle in the boot every time it rained, coming in from rear high level brake area. Turns out it's the rear window bonding but needs the rear window to be replaced!
Thought brakes were too soft after just 7000 miles of discs, pads and shoes being replaced under warranty; and so they've managed to bleed some air out of it.
Had a pulsing sound coming from the ventilation - it's still there after aircon is turned off, but goes away after all ventilation is turned off. Drove me mental on a recent 400+ mile round trip - I could still hear it in my sleep. Need a bit of a run to check if they've got rid of it.
Adaptive light warning lamp came on once and never again - no issue found.
I kid myself that visits to the dealer are an opportunity to try a new courtesy car - have had a new Range Rover Westminster and Discovery 4 HSE Luxury so far. So long as I get something good, I'll grin and bear my Disco's foibles.
Maybe it's all a ploy to get us buying extended warranties?

Hi MarsKy,
I really hope you get all this sorted soon. All I can say is not to get disappointed, all cars have little glitches to sort out, at least we get a great when we drive ours. What was the problem with your climate system?
