Water in fuel

Have got this message in the display. Fuel filter and sensor both changed, fault code cleared but reappears immediately - probably meaning there's a wiring/connector problem. Have searched several topics here without finding where to start searching. Any ideas to help me out?

I thought or read somewhere the water in fuel sensor signal was " inactive" .... someone else hopefully will shed some light on this??

Most likely will be corroded contacts on the fuel filter housing.

New fuel filter housing should cure it.

How do I check these contacts - will it be visible, perhaps temporarily cured by wd40, or will I have to change the filter housing to see if fault code reappears?
