WASTEGATE
Does anyone know if the 3.0 SDV6 has a wastegate/release valve in the system?

Yep already tried that.......
Go on then point me to the link?
I thought that variable vane turbos didn't need one, but as the secondary turbo is I believe a conventional one, thought there might be one in the combined system somewhere?
Can't find it on the web, hence the question?

A vgt is self limiting ie the vgt vane bit is the wastegate.
You can also find one is sized exactly to the engine, see this quite a bit on trucks.

Cheers Ridgeback,
Did find that but can't see a wastegate, so I guess it just regulates on the primary vanes?
