Just had a call from the dealer, paperwork submitted for claim and Warrantywise have asked for a few more details. I suppose that is good news in that they haven't just said no, just need a few more to cross their fingers for me. Joined the BMWX5 45e group

I guess you can see the outcome, whilst I can see that maybe one or two may be due to wear and tear, I cannot see that all 6 have gone at the same time. The diagnostic print out showed that at least 2 are showing a lower efficiency (which has probably caused the misfire so is that not a failure?), so I did as they say in their literature took it in asap. However because I haven't waited until they totally failed then thery don't think it is a failure.
I really have to ask myself what would they pay out for on an older car, my answer I think is "next to nothing" unless it phuysically snapped in two, although that would probably be wear and tear as well . They go on to say in the rejection letter"I should explain that warranties do not cover every eventuallity that may befall the customer, as to do so would make the cost of the cover prohibitively expensive", I think that almost everyone would pay more if they knew they were actually covered rather than the hundreds of pounds I have paid just to be fobbed off with a letter saying "no sorry ......"Joined the BMWX5 45e group

Willing to bet that no one on this forum saves up and specifically ring-fences 3.2K/year for repairs to their D3...

Not good! Injector failure has resulted in trashed engines, do they want to wait til then? Looks like "no weasel words" are indeed weasel words!
