Well over what most pay - £600 for top of the range cover is more normal with WD. FYI 'Franchised Dealer' cover actually doesn't cover the labour rate that the dealers now charge - unless you negotiate that down with the dealers. Presumably the Indy rate they give is also unrealistic.....

just had a call from warranty direct, replying to the on screen quote for swmbo,s 2008 jag x-type se estate .on screen came out at £488 for secure care,we had a haggle(as you do) and he offered extra care at £399 for 13 months with all knobs and knockers attatched, seems very good, the only thing i did notice was a £50 axcess per claim.and as the car has done just over 60k,we pay 10%of parts, they pay 90% and all other costs inc any diagnostics required.
anyone ellse out there had this in their policy?.
cheers
sandy

Keep haggling & pay a little more, and you'll remove the excess and the no-betterment option (sliding scale/mileage)... 2020 SDV6 D5 HSE, Carpathian Grey +

hi john
thanks for the mail,i spoke to them again this morning and said i was very happy with the price etc, but not too happy about the £50 excess and no betterment,he said the excess was now standard but if i took out the policy today he would have speaks with his manager and try to get it waived:whistle: which he did and all is now sorted and i took the policy, got it over 4 monthly installments
thanks for the advice
cheers
