United Kingdom 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE Manual Java BlackDiscovery 3
Warranty direct

Has anybody any experience of this company. I have been offered prestige cover for £20 per month on my manual 2004 Disco. Looking at their website it seems to cover all the main issues.
Thanks Thumbs Up

Looking myself at the moment and Warranty Direct are quoting me

£620 if I take a £250 excess and add AirCon as an extra.

Waiting for LR to quote me as mine runs out on 19th of this month but heard squat from them to date

Mine is a MY06 Manual with 38k miles on it - do under 10k miles per year
 D4 HSE - Aintree Green
D4 Orkney my13 - gone
Stornaway D4. Gone, Didn't like it at all
D3 silver manual. Loved my first LR

Interesting, I wonder why there is such a difference. I have tried searching and got over 6000 matches, most of which have no bearing on this company Big Cry

Also try Warranty Wise, their policies are pretty flexible, not cheap at £55 per month for my Pathfinder but that covers air-con, air-bags, wear and tear replacement and main dealer labour rates all of which were optional and increased the premium..

Had a years warranty with them, wouldn't use them again.
Much happier with my 2 year AA warranty at £18 per month.

I take it there are few (if any) warranties available for those running 100k+ motors?

Max mileage on my AA policy is 149k.
But you can take a two year warranty out at a max of 148,999 miles.
But all AA policies are not the same.

They won't cover wear and tear and lot's of components, so be careful what you think is covered. The first thing they always say, is "sorry it's wear and tear sir"

Land Rover warranty was excellent for year 4 - claimed a couple of times. Warranty Direct offered far better cover at a far better price for my mileage for year 5. Been very pleased with them. No discernible difference in user experience between the two other than the fact they don't settle with the dealer directly. Had more out of them than I paid in premiums. Knowing what I know now, I'd have saved myself 500 notes and gone with WD for year 4 - not because of issues with LR, just on price.

LR aftermarket warranty is just a rebadged 3rd party warranty at a massive markup. There isn't a bloke in LR approving the claims. Tesco warranty was operated by the same company at a fraction of the price - but they stopped it... Big Cry
