Warranty for '09 D3 - £570 from Warranty Direct - Worth it? |
|
Hi Folks,
As title really.
Recently (a week ago today) acquired a TDv6 Disco 3, and have been quoted £570 from warranty direct for 13 months cover... so, whats your thoughts, is it worth it?
We've got an RAC recovery policy for any car i drive & caravan etc. just incase we do.. but for repairs, we have nothing yet.
I'm fairly handy, just rebuilt the rear brakes and serviced it over the past few days, but some parts of the Disco, electronics and air suspension etc, isn't something I've done before.
Thanks, Al. Just got me a D3 Manual; I'm new to this Discovery Stuff!

IIRC Warranty Direct off varying levels of cover - which one are we talking about.
Search the forum I think you will find some useful suggestions about WD - I have a three year warranty with them - so I'm not "anti".
NJSS Am I Gammon or Woke ? - I neither know nor care.

At that price I'd imagine it's not luxury care but the next level down which also implies yours is high miles ie over 100k?
Very good warranty company but you may need to haggle over the betterment element to get it removed cost me extra 100 this year but worth doing to get 100% of parts page

I suggest a thorough search of the forum on both WD & SecureCare.
