Warning light when turning right |
|
Morning All
200 miles from base and I have a waring light come on when turning right which goes out after i turn left.
There is also a whining noise from the right side when I turn right at low speeds
Any ideas, OK to drive for a while?

give us a clue what the light looks like and colour.
orange triangle ?
Try pressing the DSC off button on the center console and see if the noise stops

Its the red exclamation symbol beneath the temparture gauge, I think this is to do with the brake operation, handbook says EBD distribution. Just odd it goes out when I turn left, no other messages and car drives fine
any thoughts, I tried switching HDC on/off but made no difference

interestingly the fliud is lowish not below min but I wonder if the act of taking a right hand turn causes the sensor to think it is. I dont get any brake fliud low message though
I'll get some fluid and top up and see what happens
Cheers for the input

Soft tyre? Brake pads low? It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

I had a similar thing with mine but can’t remeber what colour the light was.
However on mine it turned out to be the a missing balance weight which in turn kicked in the traction control.
Hope that helps. 2010 D4 XS

I thought I'd report back it seems the problem was simply low brake fluid and when taking corners or climbing steep hills it would appear that the level sensor indicated low levels of brake fliud, although I never got a low brake fluid level information warning on dash just the warning symbol
I am not sure why low brake fluid would lead to a sqealing noise on cornering at low speed, unless it was a sticky caliper? but that has diasppeared as well. Fluid level seems not to have dropped over the last couple of days either
Thanks for all the inputs
