[Wanted] Standard Front Light Clusters 2005 Discovery 3

Dear All, looking for some nice condition standard front light clusters for a 2005 Discovery 3 HSE. The units I have are looking a little tired and have lost there sparkle. I am after the standard D3 versions and was hoping there might be some nice condition second hand units out there for reasonable money from people who have done the D4 conversion look. Best regards Richard

I have a pair of headlights from 2006 hse which from memory were in really good shape and they are the adaptive xenon ones iirc, I would like £100 each for them?

You sure can. T-Cut or even better but much more abrasive Brasso, will have them looking clearer in no time especially if you remove them and use a DA to polish them up. Thumbs Up

Very easy to do.

Hi Guys

Are the adaptive vs non adaptive units interchangeable. Pretty sure mine are the non adaptive std type but will try check tomorrow.

Best regards

I’m pretty sure there is a control unit for the adaptive lights behind the dash but I’m not sure if the wiring is there for the ecu on cars with non adaptive lights, I’m sure someone must have tried

Adaptive retro fit is more work than its worth, I've known it done only once, you need the AFS ECU and then need to make up wiring harnesses for both lights and add them into the headlamp connectors, cable lengths need to be accurate an equal.

I seriously looked at it for my old D3 and walked away

Really for a slight movement of the dip beam, don't bother

Toothpaste also works wonders.. really it does... honest....

Xenon upgraded is good however you will need to enable this to stop start up flicker.
And remember to undo it if you switch back at any point or you will blow the halogen bulbs out on an annoying regular basis..
