Sort of, dealer principle said he would refund last Monday 6th November and would take a couple of days to go in my account, gave him my bank details again. Nothing in Wednesday 8th so gave them a quick call surprisingly dealer principle on a training day so not contactable, spoke to accounts department who said we don’t know anything about it and to give them five minutes to check, right we have found the authorisation to pay you back we just need your bank details what it’s not already on it’s way, no it’s still here to do as a routine payment and not a priority, gave them bank details again ( both as paid deposit and balance out of separate accounts), all done refunded back onto your debit cards said accountant, asked how long before hits my account, I was asking for bacs payment and they assured me this was one, was told minimum 3-4 days but in reality could take up to 10 days.
Little upset you could say so made a few calls and internet search got in touch with one of the director/owners at a different branch, spoke to him, he unaware of situation and said very disappointed to hear what happened, had to send him photographs and all emails, he read through everything and said he was sorry but he had to side with his dealer principle and offer money back but it was not the end of the situation as far as he was concerned. He did not say what he was going to do( not much going by the rest of his team).
Anyway back to your original question, I currently as I write this response have the £500 back in one of my accounts, the balance of £16890 is still up there with the gods floating around somewhere so I had to go into savings account and brother in law offered me the rest. Goodyear Duratracs

Hi,
glad you have got another one sorted
was going to say nothing else has popped up near me for sale.
why is it when They take payment it happens immediately yet when they have to pay it back it takes days & days
we had the same from Hunters York, £500 on card to bring up a car from Southampton, which took 10 days! car Not as described and the refund had to be signed off by head office, after the sales manager signed it off first took another 4-5 days for the refund.
Keep calm but persistent and enjoy the new motor Transit! 2019

Hi Chris,
Did you get finally get this all sorted out
Hope you are enjoying the new one, have you got it fine tuned for your use yet,
(mats excluded )
Yep all sorted took my new one to joe hodgson at JAS Landrover for check up on Monday all good apart from few little issues nothing major. I also got him to change the timing belts and do a mega flush as preventative maintenance, then off to tyre fitters and put some new duratracs on then I put new battery on all ready for winter. Drove it back down to work last night and all good so far.
Managed to get my money back eventually 2 weeks waiting after they had the car back, I sent the v5 back yesterday as it was in my gun safe and as I explained to them when they kept pestering me for it only I have access to it and they knew I worked away so unlucky them.
They have got it up for sale again at £1000 more than I bought it for but it still needs a couple of grand spending on it to get it right including all belts doing not just main timing belt.
So anyone looking to buy FN61 YXK white XS D4 from VW Hayselden in Doncaster don’t as it’s a lemon, happy to supply photos of their shoddy workmanship if anyone wants them.Goodyear Duratracs
