Saw one on the road the other day, looks a nice piece of kit

Hope its nothing like the new passat, probably one of the worse cars ever made.
My very first car was a 1600cc MK1 Scirocco. Absolutely loved it to bits - right up to the point a mate borrowed it and managed to get the engine on fire (fuel hose broke loose)...
I think the new one does look pretty good in the flesh. I saw a white one yesterday and I must admit it did look rather nice (and usually I'm not quite into the white colour). The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...

Cracking car and has won much praise in the recent Performance Car of The Year (PCOTY) awards in CAR magazine. Dropped into the VW garage in Cirencester while on holiday (half term). Looks great in the metal and the interior is actually pretty good when sat inside.
Still can't beat the original though for looks nor the Corrado (Scirocco 2).

Had 2 Mk1s and a Mk2 - Loved the first ones - had a Storm and it was something else. Front of the new one is OK - not so sure about the back. If they make a Storm however.......well for old times sake......
Was looking at some photos of the inside of the GLS Mk1 the other day and it seems much more 'bare' than I remember.
