Viscous fan, Volvo plate?

Just gonna change the belt tensioner bearing and noticed a half eaten plate with a Volvo logo on it in front of the radiator! Shocked Shocked

Is this plate standard? Looks like it would reduce the air flow to the radiator quite a bit.....
At least I now know how the fans got damaged! Big Cry
