Vibration under engine when stationary |
|
Just picked up my D4 Landmark from main dealer following 48 month service.
With the engine stopped when I close either driver or passenger door there is a rattle / vibration from under the bonnet.
With the bonnet open I can’t see or feel anything loose including the front grille. The rattle seems to be coming from under the engine so my question. Is there a sump plate cover fitted that has to be removed to gain access to the sump drain plug? If so this may not have been refitted correctly?
Yes, I’m booked back in to the dealer tomorrow but curious to know if there is anything underneath that they have left flapping.
Thanks.

Usually the oil is sucked out from the top so usually the oil plug (and any bash plate) wouldn’t be touched.
