VGS Warranty claim - How much?
So, after the whole suspension compressor failure in the Pyrenees we are now back in Blighty and all the relevant paperwork and parts have been sent off to the warranty company.
They came back yesterday saying that they are going to pay for the compressor change, not for any diagnostics and not for the inspection work carried out to confirm the issue was the compressor. Which means they are willing to pay for 1 hours labour and parts.
I'm already trying to argue that the diagnostics is part of the cost as you can't just swap a comp without re calibrating it.
My query here is, how much should a compressor change cost me?
They've given me a price but I'm not totally convinced.
Would be great to hear your comments and relative prices.

Ballpark for an AMK compressor - £600-£700 I'd say including parts, labour and SW update. Somewhat more if it was a main dealer...2016 Skoda Octavia VRS Estate

Mine was changed at LR just before I purchased it. The invoice shows:-
Investigation charge for limited performance and suspension light on £100
Labour to fit £90
LR072537 Kit - Compressor £466.67
RHY500170 - Nut - Adjusting screw £0.75
STC8580 Connector £7.68
Plus VAT the total was £798.12. This did include some discount.
