It’s more about the ‘baby’ Discovery, even smaller than the Sport, competing with likes of Audi q3, BMWX1 etc.

Although I reckon it’s nearly time for a facelift on the current full fat 5!

This is supported by the new Defender now fitting in the Discovery 3/4 place!
All shows that LR have completely abandoned the true utility market.

““Discovery sits in that world of versatility. These are the current vehicles, [there is] more to come. For me two doesn’t make a family," McGovern said.

"With Defender coming it gives us an opportunity to maybe re-think what the world of Discovery can be in the future."”

God help us; Jerri now feels unconstrained, so it could conceivably get even worse from here. Shocked

A small Discovery? A bit like a Discovery-cued Evoque then. Seems a bit redundant to add another small LR in competition with an existing small LR, but I'm sure they know what they're doing (he says, sarcastically).
