Varifocal windscreen option?

Did anyone else get the varifocal windscreen option on their D3? The loaner I've got from GS Stockport at the moment has a band of thick glass that runs horizontally about half way up the windscreen. I've spent most of the journney home this evening doing an impression of a cat that's just walked into a familiar room in which all the furniture has been moved around Laughing

Other things wrong with it:
- the seat didn't automatically move to where I wanted it, and I had to pull handles and turn knobs to make it do so
- the lights didn't come on when it was dark - again, a knob had to be turned
- the windscreen kept getting covered in water - yet further manual intervention required

And worst of all, the engine was slow...

Does it have a light that comes on to tell you the lights are on Rolling Eyes Whats all that about.
Screen
I wanted the prescription screen but Land Rover said that there was to much difference between the strength of my eyes, the left is +5 and the right is +2.75 the difference is 2.25 if it was below 2 they would have allowed it. Big Cry

OK, this is the only serious part of the email.

But honestly, it's true! The windscreen has a serious manufacturing fault, it really put me off driving it.

As to what's wrong with mine... At this stage I'll say no more than I'm a bit disappointed with the quality of the job that GS did on my D3 when it had it's service and the brakes issue solved last week. I'm going to have a word with Martin tomorrow and I'm really hoping that he can do something to restore my confidence.
