Valve stem seals replacing
Hello,
Did someone change the valve seals at a 2.7 TDV6 while engine is in the car and cylinder heads are bolted on?
Is this possible?

In a word no, the head has to come off, but why would you need to change them?
They are one of the few components on the TDV6 to cause an problem!yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

I am looking for the reason why my Disco uses more than 1 liter oil all 1000km. I have a lot of blue smoke when engine is cold and no smoke after 3 km when it is warmed up.
Turbo is new, DPF is out and no oil is dropping on the floor. So I think it could be the valve seals or piston rings.
In the past I changed these seals at a AUDI car with the cylinder head bolted on by connecting compressed air to the cylinders.

Compressed air or string down the injector bore, neither will be a small job.

Did you check to see if there is any oil in the intercooler? A small amount is acceptable but anything significant would suggest turbo seal failure. The other possibility might be the breather behind the oil filter. It doesnt usually cause problems unless it has been disturbed, but it can be a pig to get out.
If when fully warmed up and no blue smoke, what happens if you let it idle for say 20 mins?yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

Original Borg Warner Turbo is new. This lowered the use of oil from about 1.5 L to 1 Liter on 1000 km.
Intercooler is also new and the hoses are dry since turbo replacement.
Engine is running smooth and comes good on acceleration. Compression is tested and pressure loss test is good.
Idling the engine over 20min I can do the next days, but what can I see with this?

Given there is no longer oil present on the inlet side from the turbo. If you allow 20 min idling and then blip the throttle, any blue exh smoke could be a strong contender for piston ring failure. Though not exclusively as it remains possible it's a crankcase breather issue.
Personally I have not yet witnessed any valve stem seals failing on a TDV6, but others might be able to share a contrary experience.yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

So if you're burning 1ltr/1000km is it not obvious in the rear view mirror when blasting down the Autobahn?yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

Possibly EGR's but check exhaust pipes, with that usage it should show as oily pipes or you may have the wrong dip stick

My friends D3 was the same as yours, it was smoking and needed topping up with oil almost every journey.
The turbo was replaced and it was still the same, I thought it may be the valve seals but as already said they do not give trouble.
Turned out to be the oil separator / crankcase breather needed replacing. I was sceptical that it could pass that much oil but it cured it completely. It is behind the oil filter and is difficult to change but not very expensive.Stu

I thought this too would be a likely culprit but he says he's changed it!yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

Yeah, oil separator is new. I installed a new genuine Land Rover part and tested the function also with my mouth.
Important is the fact much blue smoke only when accelerating the engine while cold.
After some km it is warmed up and there is no blue smoke. Only normal lightly black smoke when accelerating very hard. It is a Diesel!
Maybe there is a crack in the plastik inlet manifold in the direction of Air flow. Or sealing between manifold and head is not good. When engine is warm maybe the sealing is better or the crack closes.
