Hey guys, long time me no here.
Ive got a coolant leak and the service people at my dealer are idiots.
History:
Early build 2005 model V8
I am a North American owner so I am blessed with a 50000 mile warranty.
4 times in the past 45000 miles I have had "Low Coolant" show up.
2 times the coolant jug has been replaced and two times "no leak found" and jug was topped off.
The reason I know I have a coolant leak is not only can I smell it, I had a buddy who had the tools pressurize it.. and it drops pressure.
There are many threads regarding the "Low Coolant" light and replacing the jug/bottle... Been there done that.
I have a distinct smell of coolant from the right side (battery/air filter side) of my V8 block.
The dealer service department hasn't spent the time to figure out the problem... Its easier for the tech to swap out some parts and get paid then actually finding out where the leak is.
Anyone know of an actual coolant leak on the V8? Wa Hoo
