6 makes sense, but how do you keep the battery charged with such short trips on a D3 in winter?

Re: v8 mpg
[quote="toolbox 28"]Well the v8 turned 150000 mls earlier this month so I thought i'd do a couple of brim to brim fuel checks, the on-board has been telling me 22.1 which I thought was very hopeful and it was, my calculations indicate 19.2 mpg which was over various long and short journeys so i'm happy with that. It's got a couple of issues that hopefully will be sorted in early January when its going into the workshop, the rear parking sensors and the reduced engine performance message that pings up from time to time but
Your throttle body has a bad build up, a good clean will eliminate this.

Easy run back from Wales last night with new RAI installed. 170miles and managed 25mpg on the computer. Not too bad considering I'm running on ATRs. Around 60-65mph.
RAI sounds nice when the V8 is working. Likes fuel and air in equal measures from what I can hear when the engine is working.

Can't fault it. Especially with all that smooth V8 grunt.

Well, the v8 is back with parking sensors sorted and the maf sensor sorted but the damn rep message pinged up on the way back, I called a mechanic friend who has experience on landys and he came over and cleaned the throttle body as suggested on here, it was pretty dirty so fingers crossed its sorted. 54 disco 3 4.4 v8 now gone
