A selectable VSR in a standard relay form-factor would be an interesting product. Indeed, I am not aware of a competing product that would integrate so well with the vehicle systems.

Hi folks, and sorry for the delay but I am flat out with orders.
If you interested in setting up a group buy, the ABG-25 is normally AUD$75 plus postage, but I will do a group buy price of AUD$60 including the postage to the UK.
There is no minimum number required for the group buy but I will leave it up to you all to set it up.
NOTE this is for the D3/D4 special Plug-N-Play version of the ABG-25.2008 TDV8 RR Lux + 2009 D4 2.7
Don't want run another Group Buy at the present but I have set-up an interest register here: http://www.disco4.com/forum/topic136660.htmlLRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

Drivesafe:
Sorry a few questions from a not very techie person, but like the idea so far.
From the way you describe it your unit replaces the Landrover relay unit.
Do i take it that your unit then allows the battery to run down to a 30% charge and then will cut out off power protecting the cranking battery, whereas the the Landrover relay cuts the power off at a higher point. (Would guess around 50%)
My concern is that allowing a fridge to be charged, without a separate circuit in use would keep the other systems "live" within the vehicle, hence pulling a larger charge from the battery than just the charging fridge would.
It certainly does not take much for the D3 /D4 to have low power warnings flash up, with doors left open, radio on etc.
I realize it will isolate the battery at 30%, so you can start again, but if the systems are still live and pulling power as well, cannot see that the length of operation before the 30% cut off point is reached will be that long, possible not overnight.D4 Landmark MY16 Santorini Black THE LAST

Hi lespes, I will post up full operating and installation info in the Group Buy as soon as I have time.
But for now, the standard ABG-25 is shipped with the cut-out voltage level set to 11.6v, which is fine for auxiliary battery use.
You can actually discharge a cranking battery down to 11.58 ( 20% SoC ) and the battery will still start the motor. I have done this on many occasions, while testing different equipment, on my TDV8 RR and had no troubles start it.
11.6v is too low for safe cranking battery use and the D3/D4 versions will be shipped with a pre set cut-out voltage level of 12.0v.
Having a good safety margin is far better, to cover cold climate conditions.
The D3/D4 ABG-25 units will still have the four User Settable voltage cut-out levels, 11.6v, 11.8v, 12.0v and 12.3v, so you can have a play with different settings to suit what you personally want.2008 TDV8 RR Lux + 2009 D4 2.7
