Using a full height dog guard with a load space liner

Hi,

Has anyone used a LR load space liner with a full height dog guard in the D3?

It looks like it might be possible by cutting out the areas for the securing eyes on the liner. I didn't want to start hacking away at it only to find it's not going to work so i thought i'd pose the question here.

My thoughts were to cut the eyes out, fit the liner, then fit the bracket for the lower securing point on the dog guard through the liner. into the floor.

I also have a load mat, I presume if cutting the liner works, then i'd also have to cut the load mat to use all three together?

Cheers

There are two versions of the genuine load space liner - one to accomodate the genuine cargo barrier.

It's a EBF500010 liner & a VUB501170 guard if that helps.

I've attached a picture of the liner below.

Cheers

That's not the liner for use with the cargo barrier.

Thanks Navigator,

I guess plan B is to source the right liner, you don't byu chance have a part number? I can't see one online.

I wonder though if anyone has successfully modded the type of liner I have to accommodate the guard.

I have a non LR copy of the boot liner and it fits with the gargo barrier in place without being modified.

I just put it in and the brackets for the barrier are far enough to the side that they don't interfere with the liner.

I also have a hatchbag bootliner in place.

Sorry, don't remember the Part Number - it was almost the same as the number for the other one, just last digits different, so perhaps a search missing out the last four digits will bring it up.

I sold it when I got the sliding floor, but that's another story.

I’ve got that liner and the genuine full height guard. It all seems to work although the very back of the liner (as you look in the boot) is a tiny bit squashed but it doesn’t detract from its use.

I just squish mine in to fit (oooh err missus!) it will work but it just needs to reform at the end up against the cargo barrier
