England 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 Base 7 Seat Manual Cairns BlueDiscovery 3

Off Topic just had a visit actually from the Civils company that put the leaky water main in and a loss adjustor who happens to live on my road Shocked
Seems they are happy that the 2nd water main was at fault, and that it cascaded several hundreds/thousands of litres of water down my drive and into my house Very Happy
The loss adjustor is calling me back tomorrow, but first needs to speak to my neighbour who also got a little wet; and then if the Civils company are happy - we can send them a list of the damaged items and they will send us a cheque for the required amount Exclamation Very Happy

Helped that i had photos of the damage and also that my local Community Support Policeman was a witness to the flooding Very Happy and a witness to the water ingress into my garage....

Will wait and see what they say tomorrow.

Walmsleys - used a broker once for insurance - but he was most interested in lining his own pockets with the commission rather than giving me the best product. So went elsewhere instead.... just liek i'll be doing when thei debacle is sorted. Whistle
Thanks for the PM's from a few people offering support - it's appreciated Thumbs Up

Glad it's been sorted out - insurers can be a nightmare to deal with - I guess brokers are like car dealers - can be good or bad.

Sacked eSure and switched to NFU today. £550 all in including Class 1 business use, cover for the winch and full off-road cover too. Land Rover Insurance wanted £725 without business cover Rolling Eyes
