USB connections
just bought a MY15 Hse and expected there to be 2x usb connections in the front and one in the back (with red white yellow inputs), these are missing, have I been a bit daft and not spec'd the car up correctly or have they been missed off?

You should have one in the upper glove box ....there used to be two in the centre cubby. Dont like the new location 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

My old range sport had 2 in the cuddy box - very convenient.
Can these items be retrofitted?

Started annoying me so have added a 2m long ipod lead which disappears from top glovebox, through a small hole I made, and then tucks beside console and pops up between passenger seat and console. I put a small cable tie on it, which I've poked into the trim between cup holder and gear change bit, and this keeps lead in place.
I now put my phone leaning against the terrain response buttons as I don't use them very much and now damn site more convenient. Looks neat as well as cable just sits in cupholder when I dont use it, but 95% of the time I plug my phone into it. My phone is in one of those leather wallet things, so it doesnt distract me when driving.
While I was messing around I bought some USB sockets and wired them up to the fuseboard, and left them behind the lower glovebox, so have a few spare USB power points in the front which have various things plugged into them - ipad mini, a mifi and a speed camera thingy.
Works well for me.TDV6 HSE Lux (2014MY)

I understand that were complaints regarding the USB ports 'in the fridge'.
But I don't have a fridge and the centre cubby is the only place in the vehicle where the front seat and middle row passengers can all access the ports.
The centre console on the D4 is a bit of a disaster. Not as practical as the D3, not as stylish as the RRS (which is arguably more practical too). It should have the RRS style panel of stick/park/TR to free-up some storage space and USB ports.
Still, not long for the D5... designed with women in mind....Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

I was slightly disappointed with the loss of a USB socket so I've just bought a couple of these from Amazon for tablet and phone charging purposes. They fit neatly and the flap closes over the one behind the cubby box. My clunky old iPod classic now lives in the glove box.
