very urgent from new member....help
hi to all...
got my new 08 hse petrol D3 about 20 days ago and since i receive it i was taken it easy for running in ... but after finishing the first 1000 m i start to check the 300 hrp ... the problem is the noise comes in the 1st or second gear near 4000RPM its like manefold noise ... take it to the dealer and one technician checked it up and he said this is normal in D3 and RRS...
anyone experiance this ?

Unfortunately most of the D3's on here are diesels, I think there are some ex G4 V8 drivers who may be able to help and some American D3 V8's.

Welcome to the site. I'm not that familiar with the petrol D3 but I know someone that has one and its sounds smoother than a buxom milk maid making ice cream whilst wearing a see through plastic rain coat. I would take it back and ask to speak to someone higher up the chain. In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

I have a V8 and would say it's very quiet unless you're really hammering it, but even then not bad. When you say manifold noise, what do you mean exactly? Can you describe the sound?
As I suspected, lovely burble between 3-4k revs in 1st 2nd and 3rd, then drwoned out by the wind noiseof the rack. Sorry Sam, sounds like you have a problem.Craig
