Urgent help, looking for a Thetford toilet pump in Edinburgh |
|
Major calamity at the mcsimmo tin tent. The electric pump for my Thetford loo has failed the night before I go to Edinburgh for a long jaunt.
Can anyone recommend a good parts supplier in the area so I can fix the jobbie wheecher?
Thanks in advance. Man with no D3 anymore, but cant leave the forum....how sad.

There are also a couple of sites with (I think) spares shops... If I can help in any way, give me a yell "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

Lift the old pump out give it a squirt of wd into the impeller end then using a small flat bladed screwdriver gently apply increasing pressure onto the small blades that you can see until it starts to rotate then ease it back and fro a bit then give it power and away it should go.

Bone question I know but definetly the pump and not the fuse behind the cassette?

^^ as he says and also worth checking the multi-pin connector beneath the push button on the toilet, carefully locate the small tab under the Thetford 'sticker' and release the panel, take off the connector and clean with contact cleaner or even just push it on and off a few times, worked for me
