As one of my standard bulbs has blown and thus new one required, can anyone recommend any uprated whiter output halogen bulbs please? (Can't afford Xenons Sad )

I would recommend the OSRAM Nightbreaker http://www.powerbulbs.com/?gclid=CJa03bfH1ZoCFWVM5QodMjsy2g

90% brighter than standard but shorted bilb life. Very bright white light Thumbs Up

I bnought a pair of PIA bulbs, 55w marking, but 110w output equivalent, though cost around £50-60.

Another vote for Nightbreakers +90% - got mine off eBay from Powerbulbs - much cheaper than their own online shop.

I'll give another vote for Nightbreakers, but with the caveat that they do not give great longevity, so be prepared to replace around every 4-6 months Thumbs Up

The Phillips are worth a punt, output almost matches the Osrams, but the life span is better.
