Hi Skagg
Hope that wasn’t rude of me saying , ref the bush , just thought it was the angle of the picture
This is when I pressed mine in , I just made it equal both sides , had to slightly push the bush in a little more in the second picture
To be honest I’m not sure if it makes any difference , the other more experienced guys will know more than me
Assume though they would have fitted it equal

[quote="gstuart"]Happy days the bolts coming out
I spent hours cutting the bloody things out , but well worth it for the results
Found the bush kit a godsend to use in getting the hub bushes out , wishbone looked original , I’ve done just under 100,000 miles so got my monies worth
Think new ones are suppose to last around 50-60k
Looking to get one of those kits - are they any good? Prices seem to range from £70 to £350 for what in the pics seems very similar sets.
Yes, your picture is how I was expecting it to look to be honest. Now I'm concerned it's not on right!
Any thoughts guys?MY16 D4 Landmark SDV6 (The Ice Maiden)

Hi
This was the actual one I got , indeed I couldn’t see any difference between them apart from some have an extra threaded bar
Lol. Glad you mentioned it really. Best find out now and get it sorted rather than after the alignment has been done.
I presume its not going to move but guess it could cause issues with alignment if it's assembled incorrectkyMY16 D4 Landmark SDV6 (The Ice Maiden)

Pheeew , is it safe to come out of the shelter now
Someone with a lot more knowledge can guide u far better , can’t see it being a problem but alas always better to get it 100% confirmed
Ps, shame ur not closer as I could have just put the bush kit on there and given it a tweak
Been back in today & it appears the bush was loose in the carrier. The hub carrier had managed to move all the way to the front of the bush to the point it was almost rubbing the arm.
They have now roughed up the internal of the bush carrier in an attempt get the carrier to stay in place in the centre of the bush. They have also added loctite to the joint.
Anyone heard of this before where a bush is that loose in the carrier that the previously mentioned method is required to hold the hub carrier in the right position on the bush?

As you have had confirmed the bush has moved. This can happen if the wheel has had a smack in (reverse in your case) or if there if the tolerances of the bush are incorrect.
This happened to mine due to a combination of a rear smack and also what I suspect was a badly fitting part. I ended up changing the bush myself and used one of the more premium brand options.
The bush can be changed in situ relatively easily (as already described previously in the thread).
Incidentally, if you left it then the bush would probably just degrade over time, the grease would come out and you would hear the the car squeak everywhere you went.
I think it's a badly fitting component. The car had only done 5 or so miles back from the garage when i noticed it on inspection of what had been done. No bumps or smacks involved
I'll have to see how it goes now they have had a go at fixing it in place.
Strangely we usually curse components seizing up on our D3's on this occasion I wish it would
