Unprotected Wiring to Plug

I have noticed underneath a connector on the transfer case, the connector could do with a bit of sleeving put on it to cover the wires can I disconnect this without causing and problems?



I Have some great black heat shrink sleeving would this be ok?
 Arctic Frost Discovery 3 TDV6 SE, Active Rear Diff, Adaptive Head Lights, Tow Pack, Ebony Leather, Roof Rails, Mantec Guard. Tasmod Stainless Sill plates. Grabber AT's. Home made mud flaps. Side Steps back on until the next time.

Hi,

I noticed the same thing with mine when I looked under it a few weeks ago, trying to the horrible hand brake nosie know fixed. I havn't got around to covering it over yet but will do when I have some spare time. There was another wire near by which was also not protected. Your idea for protection sounds ok.

Wouldn't worry about it.

I don't think most of us have added any extra protection to this or any other connectors under the D3 and there have been little to no problems.
