uncomfortable seat squab - replacement foam?

Hi All

My Discovery 4 HSE Luxury driver seat has become very uncomfortable. Seems to be a bulge at the rear of the seat base on the seam that runs through the centre of the seat that pushes into the coxis. Does anyone know if the seat base can be repaired with new foam, the leather is fine. Or would it better to source a replacement seat base for example.

Car has covered 120K miles although a new engine 10 K ago at great cost so worth spending money on Smile

Many thanks

It is possible to replace the foam insert with a new one.

But if there is a bulge, are you sure it is foam and not something else (like the heating pad being displaced or…)

Thanks for the reply and tip.

Good call on the heating pad, I'll take a look.

It seems as if the rear centre of the seat base where the stitching is in these HSE seats has gone rock hard at the rear of the seat. I've had the car almost a year now and it has become worse over time.
