unable to engage terrain response programme

I've been attempting to get the terrain response program to change. I have tried to toggle the central knob but it just shows the messgae on the spedo display- "terrain response programs off". it will not engage any of the programs but i have no warning lights and everything else seems to be working.

i've searched the forums and can't find anyone else with this issue. i've been through the handbook and no mention of how to over-ride and turn it on.

any ideas?

thanks
Mark

Hi,

It might be a blown fuse Rolling Eyes

The Hi/Lo transfer box control and the Terrain Programme share the same fuse, so a simple check would to check the operation of the Hi/Lo - does it engage low range and return back to Hi ?

If not, check fuse number 24 in the passenger compartment fuse box (behind the glove lower glove box) Whistle

If the fuse and Hi/Lo operation is ok, it suggests something adrift with the Terrain response module, and/or the wiring, this will need the DTC's chacking (fault codes) by someone with IDS or a Faultmate.

Hi/lo, hill decent etc all work fine. I may have to take it to LR for diagnostics then.

Looks like it Confused

You could ask then to diagnose and report, that way you can decide if it is something you can 'fix'
