Just had an iPod dock fitted to the Wife’s RRSport by the Car Hifi Centre in Cheltenham and am really happy with it. More importantly so is she!
Links the iPod to the navi touch screen which you also use to control the iPod. Displays the artwork and they tell me (though we have not tried it yet) will play iPod videos through the screen as well.
Took about half a day to fit - Expensive, but so was the `basic` interface fitted to my Disco by the dealers. Going to book my Disco in now- to take land rovers interface out and fit this instead.

what make is the dock ?

Hi there Disco Fever - any feedback on the unit (as requested in the other posts)?
I've phoned Car Hifi Centre in Cheltenham a couple of times, but their sales guy is always "busy with a customer"!

Hi CBR.
Both units now fitted and working great. Only thing I`v found not perfect is that its a little slow scrolling through long lists of tracks, but then so is everything else that I have ever tried in car, and its not actually that bad.
I asked david at the car hifi centre about supplying one for a friend in Spain. At the moment they are only supplying their interface fully fitted, as they are still checking for software issues with different cars.
It is Alpine based but its the interface to the touch screen that is the clever bit.

I reckon it's one of these. I looked into it a while back but thought it looked clunky. It's a hybrid between the alpine / navtv doc and a screen interface. The numberpad on screen simulates the remote control scroll button. There is some video of it working somewhere online:
Look in my galley and under ipod I think there is a leaflet for it from a year back when I looked into all this.
I think that's the right link, but midway through putting win 7 on my laptop and haven't put adobe on it yet. TDV6 HSE Lux (2014MY)
TDV6 HSE (2006MY - owned for 9 years and 150,000! - now replaced)

Hi, does anyone know if this is an "easy" install?
I now have the Landrover ACM module installed but it's pretty unhandy driving and watching your ipod screen.
This seems to be perfect, but does anyone here knows the exact specs and where i should get it?
