Two new fault codes for EPB |
|
I had a phone call from SWMBO saying there was a screaming sound from the car when she took the hand brake off, along with beeping and a flashing yellow triangle. I have used the IIDtool to try and unjam the epb, but that keeps saying failure. I did release the brake eventually, so the car is now home.
I have two fault codes from the epb;
U3000-4b (68) control module - system internal failure - over temperature
C1A46-64 (68) actuator plausibility check, mismatch between motor drive current and resultant force - algorithm based failure - signal plausibility failure
I have searched for these fault codes and have not found anything. I'm now thinking of servicing the epb module to see if that works. Any other ideas?

Great, just have to wait for the rain to stop so I can get under the car. Can the IIDtool be used to rewind the brass rod once I've unjammed it?
