So I sold my old trusty V8 D3 a few months back. I got a 2016 L405 TD6 to replace it. What other models and model year is the TD6 fitted to? The range rover forms are not nearly as informative or technical as disco3 site has been for me and it’s not a very popular engine choice in the US. Looking for another good forum community that would likely have information on the TD6. Any suggestions?Sceen name use to be "wantsanlr3"

The newer D5’s have them fitted, so you could try the Disco5 forum and stick with the FFRR forum as well. Both are slower paced than this one. 👍2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

I do think LR should have come up with some other naming convention for the twin turbo V6, as every time I see TD6 I automatically think of the straight 6 used in the L322.

Yes, the naming is all over the place.
The 3.0l twin turbo has been called TDV6, SDV6, TD6
Anything else?

To make matters more confusing, the Disco 5 td6 is actually the SINGLE turbo engine. The twin turbo engine is called the sd6 on the disco 5!!
Wow that does really make it more confusing I thought all of the 3.0 diesels were TwinTurbo’s I wonder if the single turbo version is the same as the one Ford is using in the F150 and calling the powerstroke 3.0.Sceen name use to be "wantsanlr3"
