Right! So, the Options List I saw is misleading as you can't watch anything without the RSE kit and there are extra add-ons that allow you to watch it up front on the move. If you want TV then that's an additional £500.

Great I think I've got it now - I hope.

Thanks for your help everyone!

The extra add ons are not LR ( as in tv on the move )

For your £2500 , you should get 2 rear screens , headphones , 6 disk dvd player and the RSE module .

I would double check with them ...if the TV is included , then its not bad .

Hi,

Just got back from the dealer. The Hybrid TV option isn't included in the RSE pack. You can watch the Hybrid TV (TV only not DVDs) without the RSE pack on the centre console whilst in 'P' and listen to it only when on the move (as montioned on this thread).

LR don't do an On the Move pack but I was told (unofficially) that it is possible to get the restrictions removed which is also confirmed on this thread somewhere. I'd be interested in having that TV restriction removed - anyone know what I type into Google or could paste a link?

Many thanks everyone, looking forward to the end of March when it arrives!

Google "TV in motion".

I was given the name of a firm by a Landrover Dealer, but they are in the North West

The Land Rover rear screen DVD system is rubbish and far too complicated to operate unless you are going on a very long journey. I have had four of the systems, one at extra cost in a Disco 4 and three came as standard in Range Rover Supercharged models, luckily you now have to specify if you want the screens. It would be cheaper to buy 4 x Apple iPads for children to watch and use wherever they want. The LR screens are small and tilted at the wrong angle for small children to watch, the ONLY good thing is the sound quality. Best to order the TV option only and go and buy some iPads.

Or you can go into the hidden menu and set it to TV and watch in motion then. It would need you to do that each time but for the rare occassions you would want to use it, that is cheaper than doing any third party cost solution.

Thanks doubledoom, I'd read something somewhere in this forum about a hidden menu, I didn't know it did that - handy!

Following on from orbtars comments. I was at the dealer yesterday and he showed me the RSE kit fitted and working. I can see how very small children might not be able to see the screens but for my two I think it's fine.

Also, they've changed the RSE pack now so you don't get the 3.5mm jack socket for your headphones anymore but have to use their slightly cheap looking IR wireless headphones. That, in my opinion, is a step back as I'd prefer to be able to plug in any headphones I like and it doesn't need wireless as they're just sitting there anyway - annoying.
