Turnover with no start?...

So i’ve had the car stood for a few weeks now and have changed all belts, oil pump, filters fluids etc.

Other vehicles I have had it has been wise to crank them over without starting to get some oil pressure up before any combustion takes place.

Any reason not to do the same with the TDV6 and any idea how to go about it?

Thanks all

Ritch

You could help to prime the oil system by filling it through the filter housing like this (it's the same for the 3.0);

It's very difficult to get oil pressure up on the TDV6 without starting it

IMO it does more damage trying to get pressure up, rather than just starting it Rolling with laughter

Opinions vary!

It can take a while to get fuel into the system, depending on your methods, so this can double up as a oiling exercise

Do loads of oils/filters at work, just start it and do not worry all will be good, well with the oil side anyway Mr. Green
