Tuning longevity

Yes another tuning question... Rolling Eyes

has anyone run their tuned D3 for more than say 10,000 miles?
I had my old D2 tuned, but after a space of time the transfer box went, then the auto gearbox went, now this could have been coincidental....

The drivetrain and the ZF gearbox are the same across all the D3/RRS engines i presume? So a tuned TDV6 will not exceed the tolerances of the drive train because its in the the Supercharged and the TDV8 which produce more power and torque? Is this correct?

Also along with more regular oil changes, gearbox and transfer oil should be changed more regularly too?

Had TorqTune for one year and 13000 miles and still puts a Mr. Green on my face! Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Just routine servicing, no special treatment or intermediate changes of the gooie bits.

The transmission is engineered for far greater torque and power output than the TDV6 offers as standard.

The D3 transfer case is rated at 2500Nm ...... would only fail if faulty ...... none of the engines exceed
650Nm . The D3's ZF box can handle 700Nm

Err, if I remember correctly the D3 uses the 6HP-26 which is rated at 600Nm Landrover Specs, unless they have done a running change to move to the second gen 6HP units ( 6HP-28 )

I´ve run the JE tune on my D3 for 15k miles, no issues. Ran the JE stage 2 tune on my D2 for 130k miles and no issues there specific to the tune....had the main auto box replaced at 110k but the rest of the drivetrain was original when I sold at 192k miles...
 Cheers

It was 195hp and 410Nm, made quite a difference on the auto, the std car stopped accelerating at 55mph when it changed into top gear and locked up, with the tune (which inc a bigger intercooler), it just carried on....
 Cheers
