Ah OK, so I'll just have to find the money to get all four elements fitted at once then.
So these modules - please excuse my ignorance, but are they a separate thing to the black box that's already fitted under the seat (see photo previously posted). I just assumed that the elements plugged into this box and together with the new HVAC and an update on the CCF would be do the job. I've searched the web and cannot find any further info or part numbers for modules.
When I was at my local independent specialist, he pulled up a seat parts diagram and it didn't show any other parts, although there appeared to be several seat diagrams so who knows?

There's always a few black leather HSE seats on eBay, but not many in Almond or only entire sets of 7.

No I haven't got any further just yet, I've got the hvac installed and keep looking on the bay for a good condition pair of seats. I'm pretty sure mine are a dark grey rather than black so like bartonfields i'm struggling to find the right set. S1000RR

So I finally managed to obtain a full list of parts required via an online LR parts catalogue from a European website, most U.K. sites seem to charge for access. Full set of elements for the front seats plus the modules will be around £280. For some reason the RH seat module is twice the price of the LH module? Why god only knows. I shall try and get my local independent to install. Watch this space...

Dropped off the Discovery at my local independent in Derby yesterday to have the heated seats fitted. They've not done a full install before, but I'm relatively confident they can do it. I think they've arranged for a trimmer to come and fit the pads as they are notoriously fiddly. Then It's just fitting the HVAC panel, modules, connections and modifying the CCF to activate the seats.... just as we are having the hottest day in February for 200 years! Standby for updates...

No... unfortunately not. It turns out that an independent Land Rover garage I used for the job messed up big time and damaged the cables on the loom when taking the seats out, causing a serious electrical short. They just scratched their heads and said the fault was nothing to do with them and suggested I see an auto electrician! So I won't be going back there again or recommending them to anyone.
I didn't do anything about it over the summer, but have now found a really good independent in Derby called Alan Smith Garages who have traced the fault and it's booked in in a couple of weeks to get it sorted along with a rear diff replacement. I am very confidant in their abilities, so fingers crossed.
The base model D4 has pretty basic spec and whilst mine (an ex-demo) had a leather upgrade, for LR to have them as an option but without having them heated is pretty mean. The one thing I have learned out of all of this fiasco is to not get bullied by your partner into buying a low-spec land rover just because it's a "Good Deal". Having also paid a great deal to swap out the hopeless halogens for xenons, coupled with the seat mods I should have just held out for a higher spec model in the first place.
I'll post again with an update once it's sorted.

How the F did they mess up taking the seats out, it’s a pretty straight forward job that I’ve done a dozen times and I not a pro!!
The only difficult part to retro fitting seat heat is the taking the back cover off. It can be a ball ache! There is a how to replace the seat base element of the RRSport forum which is straight forward, the only difference I made was to reuse the hog rings rather than the cable ties the author used. 012MY RRS 5.0 Supercharged Autobiography (Current)
