Trip to Berlin

Just back from an 1800 mile round trip from UK to Berlin - and pleased to report the Disco 3 performed faultlessly Very Happy Posting elsewhere on this forum of D3 on fire on autobahn had me worried ! - but no such problems here.... 7 seats, massive roof box and DVD player came in very handy. Special Vehicle stickers just a bit of fun for the road trip... Wink

Only setback was car broken in to in overnight on outwards leg - but can highly recommend CarGlass Germany who fitted both temporary and permanent replacement (took few days to get in stock) and were massively helpful. (Right rear window in this shot awaiting fixing)

Other tips - with roofbox added the monster machine measured just under 2m40 high - so be very careful on ferries and when selecting car parks with height limits. Also consider keeping a telescopic ladder in the back so you can get your stuff back out of the box without need for crampons... I've also re-posted elsewhere on forum the helpful link to get the green environmental sticker necessary for driving round some German cities, obtainable for 6 euros.

Hope this is of some use and cheers to all.
