Alex08 is there any chance of some pictures of what you have done.
With regards to the CTEK charger can anybody provide assistance on the following, the info states that they are suitable for lead acid batteries, I thought the D3 battery was a calcium battery, will this charger still be suitable and safe.

Just been to Costco and they don't have any.
But been to Lidl and they don't have any left, but manager said if I e-mail them and they have one at another branch they will send it to my local branch.
If all this fails I am going to buy the original one or the better one DiscoDunc has.

Just bought this today.

yep - no issues - have done it on Porsche cars for years with no problems and happy long lasting batteries.
