Tree sap removal

I've got a big Cypress tree by the driveway and having just washed the D3 see there are 4 or 5 very large sticky droplets of what I assume is tree sap on her, any tips for its removal 'cause washing, baby wipes and hot water has helped but its still very much there. Big Cry

A clay bar would be your best bet. Easily removes tree sap and any other contaminents

This is a good starter kit

Seriously, Gunk Tar N Bug remover got a good review in Auto Express. It's about £10, but is safe to use on plastics etc as well

Thanks for that guys. I was reading the 'detailing' thread yesterday which referred to clay and claying, google tells me it really does have Kaolin in so I'll just go outside, dig some up and whack it on! Very Happy

Just go to an off road meet in a clay pit, wollow around all day in clay/mud, let it all dry, then spend £20 at the local jet wash. Dont know if its any good for aphid poo, but did my wheels no end of good.
There's one wheel on my wagon, but i'm still rollin' along, it's the cherokee, they're after me, but I'm singing a happy song

I launch my Rib from a port run by 'Imerys' the major clay producer in Cornwall, the port is great except there's clay everywhere which is very slippery underfoot, to combat this there's a road sprayer in use to wash the roadways down, thats fine except if you visit just after it looks like you've been off roading in semi skimmed milk!

It's true....we had the same problem with the tress outside our house and in the end bought some strong insecticide on the advice of an old guy in the garden centre....

The day after dowsing the little ba$tards, there was no more 'sap' or sticky stuff all over the cars every night.....

Use butter!

Trust me it works on tree sap, dunno about poo though.
