thanks for info Drivesafe - re cables, they are run across the top of the chassis rails from the LHS wheel arch to the rear
Hi Duncan and I was not trying to imply your wiring was incorrect, it's just that I’m too old and too fat to be climbing under any vehicle, so the interior route is for me. 2008 TDV8 RR Lux + 2009 D4 2.7

questions questions questions
so what are the Traxide options available in the UK as a look on the website seems to say that no D4 kits are shipped to the uk. Presumably that is because of the battery tray?
If so is it possible to get the D4 wiring kit without the tray?
and is there any difference between the SC80 and the SC80-LR split charge units? if one were to do the wiring.
CCmay the odds be ever in your favor

Hi,
simply take the D3 one:
"NOTE while the D3 kit are specifically designed for Discovery 3s, they can also be installed in Discovery 4s, if the components in the D4 Auxiliary Battery Compartment are rearranged, and these kits are supplied world wide and are available in Left Hand and Right Hand Drive versions."

Thanks for that.
I am going to rear mount the battery I have decided as I need to run power down to a globemaster trailer in any case. So I am ordering the split charge relay and will make up the Cables to suit.
