Cwrt Bleddyn . .Best hotel in Wales when it opened in the 80's... I was the Deputy General Manager there when it was privately owned and under Welsh Water; then General Manager under Virgin Hotels.
I left about 11years ago but I've seen it since George Savvas son-in-law bought it ....it looks like a mini-Savvas club now. 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

BG, you might have met the previous owner of my house who used to go down to your hotel with a shotgun to protest about the fireworks!

Just got back, 460 miles round trip. Camera van was waiting for me! in the layby just before the A40 turn off. (think I was below 80). Another one on the M4 bridge near Cardiff Gate.
Saw loads of D3's, but the notable spots are one on the M5 heading north at about 9 am this morning near Strensham services with a raised air intake - I could'nt get the colour as the sun was in my eyes.
Another notable spot was this afternoon on the M4 East, just past Sarn Park services, I overtook a silver 04 reg HSE with landrover experience sticker in the back window.
Got there and back on one tank of fuel, range is 30 miles left now.
The car gets better and better 8)
Sorry Chris, missed your offer of a brew, I was Zzzzzzz at 4am this morning unlike your goodself

Well I was from North Wales originally.
When I was a kid (some say I still am !!) I used to live in Prestatyn, and my fathers side of the family has been traced to Dwglfychi near Penmeanmawr.
I like Wales, but can't get used to the lingo when working in the North. I find it quite disconcerting when a client talks to his/her colleagues in Welsh, then talks to me in English. I believe that in some schools Welsh is the first language now?
