Transmission Rumble

My TD6 HSE has done 27000 kms and has developed an annoying and increasing transmission or running gear rumble. It seems to have developed after a recent computer upgade and an even later upgrade has made it worse.
Standard tyres are still on the vehicle so I have dismissed tyre noise. It is most noticable above 70ks and is running gear not engine speed related.
Rumbles and the associated vibrations cant be improving things underneath.
The LR dealer is aware of the problem and I wonder if any one is aware of any fixes

Almost certainly I think it will be the tyres. I had this when the original Wranglers got more than 50% worn. There have been others who have also had the same phenomenon.

I now have Michelin Synchrones, which completely cured it. The difference when I first drove with the mich's was incredible. Its quite startling how the noise from the Wranglers had increased over the months.

It was so bad that I originaly thought it had thrown a wheel bearing or something.
