I bought an exchange reconditioned unit from Maltings Off Road, it was £475.
The car is all back together now apart from the breather tube, which is split where it attaches to the diff. so I haven’t driven it yet, hopefully the new tube will arrive tomorrow.Simon.

I've just ordered a spare diff, for the same issue! I drained the front diff oil at the weekend, to find glitter filled oil, and a Christmas tree on the mag plug
I'm going to either rebuild the spare that arrives, or swap it and rebuild mine. Haven't decided which yet.
Seems to be the latest 'favorite' issue with our cars. Richard

Im thinking mine needs done. Same droning noise etc.
Changing oil this week, so will see what thats like. Hopefully oil change sorts it, dont fancy spending a fortune on new diff and getting it fitted.

When I got the old one out I found that it has loads of backlash. Not very good considering the car is only on 94000 miles.Simon.

All back together now. Successful short test drive, no nasty noises or rumbling Simon.
