Transfer box
Hi,
Im looking for some advice and help.Im actually posting for my neighbour (he's Italian so he's asked me to help) he has a Range Rover 2006 2.7 HSE automatic which he's had for about 18months.Over this period he's had all the usual problems! being a keen DIY enthusiast he has managed to fix them. The latest has been the transfer box (or in my opinion the diff motor) any way he's changed the transfer box and had the diff motor of. The codes showing now are P2789 + P0915.
A couple of questions:is it possible to have put the diff motor back in a wrong position and if so could this be re calibrated or would it need physically removing and resetting?(could the rear diff be locked)
He only has the basic software and can't clear these codes or re calibrate the motor does any one know what software is required? we are based in the Peak District and would be happy to pay someone with the right software to recalibrate + clear the codes?
Any advice would be welcome.
Cheers
Stuart

If the motor has been removed it needs calibration, he could try a manual calibration if diagnostics aren't available. If you use the search function above you'll find the procedure. P0915 suggests a possible electrical issue (or calibration) so check the plug and the pins carefully. P2789 suggests a calibration issue
Does the car have an "E" rear diff?yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ
