Trailer Electric Problem

Have been through SEARCH without success. I have a trailer that, when coupled to the D3, none of thr RH lights work - no indicator, stop light or running light. Connect this trailer to the D2 and all is well. All lights are working on D3 with or without the trailer. All "trailer" fuses are OK in rear left side cubby. The trailer is fitted with std light bulbs and I have no problems with the left hand side lights.
I thought it may be earth but cannot find bad joint in D3.
Anybody any idears wheretofromhere??
Thks in advance.

If the fuses are all ok it must either be the D3 7 pin socket or the trailer plug.
It sounds like some of the pins are not making contact somewhere.
Change the plug on the trailer first, as its easier, followed by the socket if it still doesn't work.

sounds like the socket, put a thin bladed screwdriver into the ones with the "cross"in the middle and open them out a fraction, may solve it.

Do they work OK on other trailers ?
Is it newly installed trailer socket ? If it is check they gave you the correct socket loom as been there done that got the T shirt. Dealers tend to give you the latest harness and my trailer was the same until I fitted the correct one,the dealers fitted the original and told me they had checked it worked Yeh right!!!!

Thks guys for all suggestions - I'll work through it all and let you know results. The trailer works OK on the Disco 2 but just nothing on Left Hand side of trailer when connected to Disco3.
